Private Residence – Surrey

This special project involved the demolition of an existing 1930’s dwelling and construction of a new single family home for a private client and their family.

The design brief was to as faithfully as possible recreate an Arts & Crafts style home that fitted congruously into its surroundings. Special attention was given to the reduction of use of VOC’s, for healthy living, and environmentally sustainable products where feasible. The use of oak structural framing, the proportion, period detailing and finishes captures that design brief impeccably but to modern standards.
Designed by Nye Saunders Architects, the home provides 6 bedrooms, all with ensuites, over 3 floors plus basement gym, games/cinema room and subterranean access to the separate swimming pool block to the rear.

Louis de Soissons were appointed as project managers and contract administrators managing the project from pre-planning consent stage, dealing with pre-start planning conditions, demolition and construction phases.

The project took approximately 18 months to complete from demolition.
