He spent the majority of the early years of his career involved with large scale conversion/refurbishment and newbuild projects in the City of London including Shell Mex House, Thames House (MI5), 99 Bishopsgate as well as the expansion of Milton Keynes Shopping Centre whilst working at GMW & Seifert Architects.

In 2009 Chris joined the architectural department of Robert Lombardelli Partnership, a multi-disciplinary practice, working alongside the company’s quantity surveyors & project managers. The primary client base was a number of Cambridge colleges and offered the opportunity to work on the conversion & refurbishment of their Grade I listed buildings. This design & technical role required a clear understanding of conservation in respect of planning & meeting the requirements of English Heritage. The projects ranged from student accommodation to a boat house. Set aside from college/university projects, Chris continued to work on private bespoke houses and larger residential schemes.
In 2020 Chris returned to Louis de Soissons Ltd. in a architectural technology role to work on various projects.
