Prior to joining Louis de Soissons, Fiona had been running her own private practice specialising in delivering creative, contemporary family homes for domestic clients. Before this she was Associate Director at Peter Barber Architects where she was responsible for a wide range of RIBA award-winning schemes in the housing and homelessness sectors. During her time at the small design-led practice they won both the UK Housing Architect of the Year Award and UK Refurbishment Architect of the Year. Fiona led large consultant teams across a range of building types and sectors including housing, homelessness, community, education and mixed-use.
Fiona is a keen listener, skilled designer and a creative problem solver. She is driven by a passionate belief in good design and the use of innovative architectural solutions to unlock complicated client briefs. She is a team player and believes the route to a successful scheme lies in a strong collaborative approach with client, planning, consultant and contractor teams.
Fiona also holds a Visiting Lecturer post, teaching Architecture at the University of Hertfordshire.
