Louise Newbery

Associate / Practice Manager

Having gained a wealth of experience of projects in a variety of architectural sectors over the years, Louise is an experienced team leader and also heads her own design projects. She has an in-depth knowledge of the planning system having successfully taken projects of all sizes in a variety of sectors through to successful receipt of planning permission.

In addition to her design role, Louise is involved in the business development and has also taken on the Practice Management role being responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the business and the practice’s brand identity and marketing material.

Louise joined Louis de Soissons in June 2022 after running a small multi-disciplinary architectural practice with offices in Hitchin and London. Her main experience in residential and mixed-use projects ranges from intricate house extensions to bespoke one-off dwellings to multi-unit mixed-use schemes for national housing developers.

She has a passion for high-quality design and is always inspired and excited by every new project, whatever the size or complexity.

Louise believes that by careful collaboration with the client and with the whole team, from the initial instruction and throughout all stages, every project can be delivered to the brief, on time and within budget whilst creating a living / working environment to the highest standards for the end user. Being a natural problem solver and space planner, Louise prides herself on being able to find a solution to most challenges through creative design and detailed planning.
