As part of our centenary year we have been looking back at some of the practice’s finest moments. This well located but dated 4-bedroom 1940’s house in Aldeburgh was bought by a couple down-sizing from their nearby country house. Large extensions and subtle elevational changes have created an elegant, spacious home which includes the recreation of the couple’s previous large farmhouse kitchen. Cladding parts of the house and the extensions in painted boarding and fitting mellow roof tiles, together with replacement timber windows, has created a delightful New England style home, for the owners to enjoy their very active retirement.
