Swan Court – Wimbledon, London SW19
Louis de Soissons Planning skill delivers fourfold increase in lettable floor space for London development
The redevelopment of an existing two-storey office/retail site on the edge of the Wimbledon Conservation Area. The new development comprises a basement car park, six floors of speculative open plan offices and one retail unit at ground floor and basement level.
The building was designed with high quality finishes throughout and clad in polished granite and curved glazing externally.
The building has been retained in the client’s portfolio and was fully let to one of the country’s leading insurance companies within months of its completion.
The design sought to interpret the 1930’s art deco character of Wimbledon Village in a contemporary manner with feature curved, marble and glass corners. This was one of our first projects where energy efficiency and sustainability had to be incorporated into the design.
