Party Wall & Neighbourly Matters

We are members of the foremost party wall surveying organisations in the UK, the Pyramus & Thisbe Club (P&T), which seeks to advance knowledge of party wall legislation and procedure and to promote best professional practice.

Over the last 25 years we have provided expert advice on all aspects of party wall and neighbourly matters namely; service of Notices under the Party Wall etc Act 1996, drafting Awards or Agreements and Schedules of Condition, advising on technical resolution to avoid issues that may give rise to disputes, assessing and advising on boundary matters and dispute resolution, access to adjoining land, scaffold, and over-sailing agreements.

Our approach is different to most practicing in this area of professional work. We integrate our expertise in project management and building surveying to overcome and resolve sometimes practically complex and challenging construction scenarios to enable compliance with the Party Wall Act 1996 whilst addressing the needs of design and construction and avoiding escalation of disputes or potential delays to works.

Our understanding of procurement, construction and skills in project management enable us to work alongside designers, constructors, legal and statutory compliance professionals to overcome these challenges.

We work for developers, business entities, contractors, consultants, and professional advisers as well as individuals, at all scales of project from large or complex developments with multiple adjoining owners and boundaries to single residential dwelling works.

We achieve the best results when brought on-board at an early stage in any project to ensure that the implication of such matters are considered and correctly addressed either prior to acquisition or at an early stage in the project where party wall or boundary matters can influence planning applications, the design, method, or sequence of construction.
