We have recently secured planning permission for this contemporary new build residence, located on a sensitive Green Belt site in the Hertfordshire countryside. The 3-acre site, on a former fruit farm which had fallen into disrepair and neglect, came with a complex planning history. We approached the design with a simple, light touch, minimising the variety of materials, using timber to mimic the adjacent barns and blend in with the rural setting.
In close collaboration with @hpd_uk, we established a strategy for the sensitive redevelopment of the site. As part of a wider masterplan for the ecological revival of the site, this first phase will create a delightful forever home for our client.
